Position Summary:

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the dental professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. You will be able to work closely with patients, providing them with exceptional care while assisting our dental team in delivering outstanding services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring cleanliness and stocking with necessary supplies.

  • Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including but not limited to cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.

  • Capture and develop dental X-rays, ensuring patient safety and compliance with radiation safety guidelines.

  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and offer post-treatment care instructions.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed.

  • Handle appointment scheduling, manage patient records, and assist with billing and insurance claims.

  • Create a friendly and professional atmosphere when interacting with patients.

  • Perform additional administrative and clinical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program or equivalent experience or at least two years of experience.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and a solid commitment to maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

  • Outstanding multitasking abilities and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment.

  • Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records systems is a plus.
